If you do not have a refugium and are using the 7-part Foundation and Trace colors program, you can seamlessly move to the 4-part Complete Reef Care.

Red Sea’s long-term research shows that in reef systems without a refugium the 36 Major, Minor and Trace elements and even the Alkalinity components are depleted in a relatively fixed ratio, enabling you to supplement all element groups according to a measured Calcium uptake.

Since Calcium is the key indicator of coral growth, the program revolves around a single weekly measurement of Calcium, which determines the dosages of all four parts.

The Complete Reef Care is chemically identical to Red Sea’s original 7-part program and delivers the same results for systems without a refugium. Systems with a refugium should continue to use the 7-part RCP to maintain all elements.

The program is available in three volumes to suit different systems and is formulated so all four parts are consumed together. When paired with Red Sea’s ReefDose the hobbyist sets only the Calcium dose and ReefDose handles the rest for effortless dosing.
